29th ISBP Annual Meeting,Sept9-11,Beijing

   Dear Friends,

   The International Society of Blood Purification is pleased to extend you an invitation to participate in the Annual Meeting that will take place on September 09-11, 2011 in Beijing International Convention Center, Beijing, China.

   Dialysis has been used in the clinic in treating chronic renal failure for more than 50 years. Despite significant achievements in medical knowledge and techniques and also dramatic increase in cost, the life span and quality of life of the patients are still not acceptable. With the dramatic improvement in medical insurance in developing countries, the number of dialysis patients will be significantly increased in the near future and will impose a significant economical burden on many countries and regions. It has been growing recognized that efforts should be put on the best use of the existing knowledge to improve the efficacy of dialysis treatment and improve the quality of care and also to explore new technologies in dialysis therapy. The ISBP 2011 has gathered a superb faculty to present the latest and most pertinent issues in understanding and managing renal disease in the chronic setting and in the critically ill patient. 

   The overall objective of this meeting is to bring the participants the cutting edge scientific information available today in each subject in the program.The main theme of this important meeting will be focused on “management, innovation and development”. Highlights include the state of the art in emerging strategies for the management of ESRD patients such as home dialysis, chronic disease management, new ways of dialysis care delivery, team approach, dialysis economy, factors that have been shown to play roles in the unacceptably high mortality of ESRD patients. A group of long-term dialysis patients will also attend the meeting and show their successful stories. The meeting will also place special emphasis on controversial problems in modality selections, critical care nephrology, home dialysis, etc.

   Autumn is the golden season in Beijing with wonderful weather and comfortable time. The meeting venueis locate beside the north 4thring road, close to the Olympic park, Bird Nest and other nice resorts. There are excellent places for relaxation, recreation and enjoyment.

   Meanwhile, due to the government regulation of hosting international meeting in China, we have significantly delayed the announcement of the meeting. With this short notice, the organizing committee decided to organize a free tour to the magnificent Great Wall of China for all the registered participants right after the meeting (September 12).

第二十九届国际血液净化年会暨首届慢性病管理论坛邀请函

尊敬的同仁们：您好！

  慢性病已经成为全球的沉重负担，也是各国医疗体制改革最为艰苦的一个领域。肾脏病是慢性病的一个典型。血液净化在临床上使用已经五十余年，无论是在认识还是技术上都已经有了长足的发展，血液净化的管理和对病人的照护模式也已经有了很多种形式。然而，血液净化病人的预后仍然不尽人意，大多数病人的生活质量仍然低下、生存率远低于正常人。而且血液净化的费用高昂，已成为每个国家的沉重经济负担。面对不同的血液净化方式和照护模式，我们该如何选择？怎样合理地应用血液净化技术常常是摆在医护人员、病人、医疗管理人员以及政府面前的困惑的问题。发达国家和地区五十多年的血液净化发展，许多成功和失败的经验值得发展中国家学习和避免。特别是在中国，随着医疗保险的不断健全，透析得到各级政府的高度关注，越来越多的病人也将因此而获得透析治疗，可以预见我国透析的人口会快速增长。如何有效地应对这一发展、如何避免和延缓慢性病的病人走到透析的地步是每个健康工作者和病人需要认真思考的问题。为此，由中国医药卫生事业发展基金会、中国健康促进基金会、吴阶平医学基金会、国际血液净化学会、北京大学将于2011年9月9-11日在北京国际会议中心共同主办第二十九届国际血液净化年会暨首届慢性病管理论坛。其中慢性病管理论坛将以中文进行。

  本次会议的主题是“管理、创新和发展”。此次大会将不同于以往的血液净化会议，大会将围绕不同国家和地区的血液净化发展的成功经验和教训展开，提供一个透析利益相关者（医护人员、政府、企业以及病人）共同交流的平台，探索在新的医疗保险形势下，血液净化应该怎样合理地发展和应用，大会除了交流最新的血液净化技术进展之外，还将就慢性病管理的理论与各国的实践、透析经济学、透析中心管理、创新的透析治疗模式、技术的创新和发展等展开讨论，本次大会不但将邀请全球血液净化治疗国内外著名的专家参加，还将邀请全球著名的慢性病管理专家以及部分全球透析治疗三十年以上的病人来分享他们的经验，也将邀请不同国家和地区的政府官员来分享有关慢性病管理、透析治疗的政策、报销制度的变革和影响。

大会征文现已开始，现向各界朋友征集学术论文，内容涵盖血液净化、慢性病管理的各个方面，届时大会将收到的论文进行大会交流、壁报展示和书面交流，优秀论文将获得大会资助参加会议。参会者可获得国家级I类继续教育学分。欢迎医护人员、企业、保险和政策制定者、医疗管理者以及关心我国医疗体系改革等的有关人员积极投稿参会！
